English 3, Post 8 (FINAL), 'Tell us about a subject you enjoy studying'

In my half semester of university added to the almost 2 and a half years of online teaching I have enjoyed studying various topics and topics, I think I undoubtedly enjoyed studying for the field of "Fisiología de Sistemas", which was a field where we were taught the functioning of the organism system by system, this allowed us to realize how the systems of our organism interacted and how things like a faint or a muscular problem triggered responses in all systems. I enjoyed it since the way to evaluate the branch was through clinical cases, so they gave us real situations such as hemorrhages or fevers and I had to explain the event from biology, finally that helped me a lot to understand the functioning of the things at the level of the human body. English 3, Post 7, Choice of Two Topics

To be completely honest, the choice of topic complicated me a bit since I do not know a website related to my career that generates special intrigue related to my career and I do not have a reference in my specialty, so I was forced to instruct me in the history of chemistry and pharmacy, a situation for which I encourage myself to talk about not one, but 3 people, their names are: Federico Philippi, Ignacio Domeyko and José Bustillos. The reason for my admiration is that they were teachers of what would later become the first generation of pharmaceutical students in Chile around 1945. Regarding their biographies, it was difficult for me to find detailed information, for sure they were educated people in the area of science and medicine who worked for the University of Ch...

I believe that like every health career my specialty has a role to play for the rest of society, I consider that in Chile the cost of medicines is well above what the common people can pay, so It is up to me and my fellow racers to see how we can change this from here to the future. I see myself within this context working in the public health system, to try to deliver the best quality of care in, for example, a cesfam. At the same time, I consider that like all professions, pharmaceutical chemists have a pending commitment to the environment, so that we can benefit the world with actions such as taking care of the waste that our industry produces, which in many cases contribute to the contamination. In fact, this year a study was revealed that showed the concentration of different drugs and hormones that were found in the waters that would later be processed. The study emphasized that these treatment plants were not prepared to eliminate components of the pharmaceutical industry, so r...
